How you earn points
- Log a watering, a feeding or a light change to earn points. Watering earns the most.
- Care on your schedule builds a streak. A longer streak adds a bonus to each log.
- Pruning and other actions stay in the plant's record. They do not earn points.
Is it fair if I water less often?
Yes. A cactus you water every two weeks and a fern you water every few days earn about the same over a month. Each plant needs what it needs, and the score follows your schedule, not ours.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak starts again. That is all. You keep every point you already earned, and you have a couple of spare days before the streak ends.
What if a plant dies?
It happens to every gardener. A pest, a cold draught, tired roots, or no reason you can ever find. Sometimes a plant dies even when you did everything right.
Kipos does not punish that. The score counts the care you gave, not how the plant turned out. That care still happened, and it still counts.
Plant score and garden score
Each plant has its own score, up to 100. The first weeks of care move it fastest.
Your garden score is the average of all your plants. A new plant counts only a little at first, so adding one barely moves your garden score. It counts fully after about a month.
Frequently asked questions
Can a plant's score go down?
No. A plant's points only go up. A late or missed watering restarts your streak, but it does not take points away.
Does Kipos punish me if a plant dies?
No. The score counts the care you gave, not how the plant turned out. Plants sometimes die even with good care.
Do pruning and other actions earn points?
No. Pruning and other actions stay in your plant's record, but they do not change the score or your streak.
