Many plant apps start with a photo scan. An AI model guesses the species and writes a care schedule for it. Kipos starts with you. You tell it what you grow and how you look after each plant, and it keeps the record.
What Kipos does
- You add each plant by name. A photo is optional and stays in that plant's record.
- You choose how often you water each plant. Kipos reminds you when the next watering is due.
- You log watering, feeding, pruning and any other care on the day you do it.
- You keep photos, notes and growth phases together, so you can look back at what happened.
What does Kipos not do?
Kipos has none of these features:
- Plant identification from a photo
- Care plans or schedules written by a model
- A chatbot or AI plant doctor
- Diagnosis from a picture of a leaf
The app does not call an AI service at all.
Why does Kipos leave AI out?
How often a plant needs water depends on pot size, light, season and drainage. A photo of a leaf does not show those things. You can see them, so Kipos lets you set the interval and keeps a record of what the plant did next.
The watering guide shows how to check a pot before you water it.
Where do my photos go?
Your photos are saved to your Kipos account, so they survive a lost or replaced phone. Kipos shows them in your plant's record. It does not send them to an AI provider, and it does not use them to train AI models.
The privacy policy lists every service that handles your data.
